L’aquàrium
 
Walk around L’aquàrium
L’aquàrium is one of the largest aquariums in Europe and has the world’s best Mediterranean collection as well as plenty of fish from further away. The highlight is the 80m shark tunnel which should be terrifying – instead it fascinates.

Visit Museu Nacional d’art de Catalunya
Built for the 1929 World Exhibition, Museu Nacional d’art de Catalunya houses a vast collection of mostly Catalan art spanning the early Middle Ages to the early 20th-century. The high point may be the extraordinary Romanesque frescoes, but there is plenty to keep you busy

Visit La Sagrada Família
Antoni Gaudi’s most extraordinary creation, La Sagrada Família, is still years from completion, over 100 years since work started in 1884. When finished, the enormous temple will have room for an astonishing 13,000 people. Catch it now while work on the main entrance, the Glory façade, in underway.

Live Flamenco performance at Sala Tarantos
Since 1963, Sala Tarantos basement locale has been the stage for some of the best flamenco to pass through or come out of Barcelona. Three performances run daily with the first starting at 8.30pm and admission costs just €6.
